Today, Mr. Hido Bišćević, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, has met with Mr. Lord Paddy Ashdown, High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is visiting the Government of the Republic of Croatia.

The purpose of Lord Ashdown's visit was to establish contact with the new Croatian Government which is continuing the important role in implementing the Dayton Agreement and securing stable and democratic neighbourhood with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

State Secretary Bišćević informed High Representative Ashdown about the new dynamics by which the Croatian Government will continue to implement the strategy of approaching Euro-Atlantic integration and the advancement of good neighbourly relations in this part of Europe.

Lord Ashdown informed about his activities on the civil implementation of the Dayton Agreement directed at establishing full sustainability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Euro-Atlantic integration. He also informed about the efforts made by the Office of High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina in adopting a new statute of the city of Mostar.
