The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, through its diplomatic and consular network, continues to repatriate Croatian nationals.

The Croatian Embassy in Vienna, in cooperation with the relevant Austrian authorities, has arranged the return of Croatian nationals currently located in Tyrol, the majority of them in areas under strict lockdown. Leaving their place of stay required multiple clearances from the relevant Austrian authorities. A convoy of six buses and four cars arrived in Croatia on Sunday evening with 111 Croatian nationals and two Slovenian nationals, who were then transported to Slovenia.   

The Austrian Government has placed the federal state of Tyrol under quarantine, with complete isolation imposed in several areas (including towns in the Paznaun Valley such as Ischgl, Galtür and St. Anton). On Friday, the Croatian Embassy in Vienna organized the return of 13 Croatian nationals by cars, while in a joint effort with Slovenia another 13 Croatian nationals were brought back to Croatia last month.

The Croatian Embassy in Vienna is committed to repatriating the rest of Croatian nationals as soon as possible, especially those located in Tyrol. Please note that it is still possible to use public transportation, notably the Austrian Federal Railways - ÖBB, to places near the Austrian-Slovenian border, from where citizens can arrange their own transfer to Croatia. We would like to thank the Austrian authorities for helping to bring back the 111 Croatian nationals to Croatia.  

Earlier on Sunday, 37 passengers were transported from Ancona, Italy, to Zadar on a catamaran provided by Jadrolinija.

On Saturday's flights, organized by the Croatian Government in coordination with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, 148 passengers arrived in Zagreb from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
