On that occasion, Pusić met with students of Zagreb’s Nikola Tesla Technical School and Mlinarska Nursing School, briefing them about Croatia’s EU accession process and the opportunities for young people the membership offered.

The Ministry’s officials then delivered a lecture themed “Croatia, the 28th EU Member: Opportunities for the Young” and answered questions regarding Croatia’s pending EU membership and its effects on the everyday lives of Croatian citizens.

This year’s event was attended by some 170 students from six high schools in Zagreb – INOVA School of Economy, Nikola Tesla Technical School, Mlinarska Nursing School, Private Grammar School, Serbian Orhodox Grammar School, and Graphic Design School.

The Open Door Day is being organized for the third year in a row and is aimed at high school students from the City of Zagreb and Zagreb County. Thus far, more than 1300 students have been informed about the functioning of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and preparations for the EU membership.
