After visiting the Baharka refugee camp, which accommodates displaced persons from all over Iraq, Pusić met with Speaker of the Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament Yousif Muhammed. Pusić underscored Croatia's readiness to cooperate in all areas – from the economy to the defence. “By fighting against ISIS, “Peshmerga are protecting not only this region, but defending the entire Europe,” Pusić said, adding that Croatia was prepared to provide development assistance, given that it also went through a war recently and provided for refugees and displaced persons.
