On 14 April 2003, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Tonino Picula, met the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Hungary, Ferenc Juhasz, who is officially visiting the Republic of Croatia.

Minister Picula and Minister Juhasz emphasised very good bilateral relations between Croatia and Hungary and expressed hope for their further deepening. They talked about the reform of the armed forces, the situation in the region, and the Iraq crisis. Minister Juhasz reiterated the full support of Hungary to Croatia's goals of joining the Euro-Atlantic integration and the military component of the Quadrilateral.
