Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović held a series of bilateral meetings at the margins of the meeting between US Charter members’ foreign ministers and German foreign minister

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration held 5 April 2005 in Durres, Albania, a series of bilateral meetings with her colleagues at the margins of the meeting between the foreign ministers the US Charter members Albania, Croatia and Macedonia, and German foreign minister Joschka Fischer, enlarged by the delegations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and Montenegro

It was reiterated that the US-Adriatic Charter members are determined to further strengthen the co-operation in implementing the Action Plan for Membership. Mutual assistance on the road to the EU and NATO was also expressed. The Charter members stated their expectations that they will receive the invitation for the start of the membership negotiations at the next NATO summit, and asked Minister Fischer for support.

Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović repeated that regional co-operation is not only Croatia’s duty stemming from the SAA, but an interest and a genuine wish for achieving stability and prosperity in the region. Through the exchange of experiences and programs, Croatia wishes to co-operate in and assist the reforms in the countries of the region, said Minister Grabar-Kitarović.
