Minister Jandroković participated on the Conference on Facilitating the Entry into Force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty...

In his speech, Minister Jandroković reported that the Republic of Croatia had joined the statement made by the European Union at the same Conference, and is in full compliance with its provisions. He recalled the timeline of the Treaty’s adoption and concluded that during the 13 years it had demonstrated its value and strength in the international system of disarmament and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, pointing out that the current Conference further demonstrates the desire of the international community to build a nuclear-free world. As a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, the Republic of Croatia took every opportunity to warn the subjects who violated the Treaty of the harmful effects of their actions, and their deviation from international standards, he said. He also reiterated the invitation to ratify the Treaty to states that have not yet done so, which would enable it to enter into force and thereby remove the last traces of the Cold War.
