Minister Grlić Radman visits Kreševo

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman, on the second day of his working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, toured the Stanić Beverages plant and the Franciscan Monastery of St. Catherine in Kreševo

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman, on the second day of his working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, toured the Stanić Beverages plant and the Franciscan Monastery of St. Catherine in Kreševo.

In a press statement, Grlić Radman described his visit to BiH as very successful – the programme was comprehensive, he visited the most important institutions, met with high representatives of religious communities, and presented Croatia’s non-paper to be debated at the Foreign Affairs Council.

“The Monastery of St. Catherine is a testimony to the Croatian identity and the deep roots of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am pleasantly surprised by the large number of exponents. This is one of the oldest museums in the country, which the Croatian Government is supporting financially, and will continue to support projects aimed at preserving the Croatian cultural and national identity,” the minister underscored. 

In addition, he said that Croatia had achieved its foreign policy goals and was globally visible in the international community, which increases its responsibility towards its neighbours. “Bosnia and Herzegovina is our immediate neighbour, a country with which we share more than 1,000 kilometres of border. That is why we discussed today the need to amend the election law in order to eliminate all discrimination and inequality for the wellbeing of all Bosnia and Herzegovina’s citizens. Croatia will continue to support a functional, stable and secure Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Grlić Radman said.

The minister also reflected on his visit to Stanić Beverages, noting that the plant’s impressive output proves to the Croats who want to return to BiH that it is possible to live and invest there.
