Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday visited the “Croatia to the World” exhibition at the Meštrović Pavilion, accompanied by representatives of embassies and diplomatic missions accredited to Croatia.

“Although many distinguished Croats have helped shape the world we know, they haven’t been widely recognized like writers and artists. I hope this exhibition will change that. It showcases individuals who have changed the world for the better and who have had a direct influence on mankind. These great minds have lived and worked in some of your countries and are a bridge of sorts between our cultures,” said Grlić Radman addressing the diplomats.

The minister added that the exhibition represents the best that Croatia has contributed to the world and it would be great if it were displayed at diplomatic missions abroad, for instance in Budapest, Berlin or Rome, to help to break down stereotypes.

The exhibition is based on ideas and research by the Večernji List daily, published in a special edition titled “Croats Who Have Changed the World”, and aims to turn the spotlight on Croats who have changed the world for the better through their selfless work and efforts in various fields.
