Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday received the inaugural visit from Portuguese Ambassador Maria Paula da Silva

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday received the inaugural visit from Portuguese Ambassador Maria Paula da Silva.

The two officials underscored very good bilateral relations between Croatia and Portugal, highlighting potential for additional strengthening of economic relations as well as cooperation in culture and defence.

Grlić Radman thanked Portugal for its solidarity and the assistance the country sent through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism after the earthquake of December 29. He also wished Portugal a successful EU presidency, adding that he considered its priorities a continuation of the Croatian presidency’s priorities.

Da Silva expressed support for Croatia’s joining the Eurozone, Schengen Area, OECD and MED7, presenting Grlić Radman with the programme of events organized by the Portuguese Embassy to Croatia during Portugal’s EU presidency.
