Minister Grlić Radman officially visits Montenegro

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday visited Podgorica as part of his two-day official visit to Montenegro

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday visited Podgorica as part of his two-day official visit to Montenegro. 

On the second day of his visit, Grlić Radman held talks with Montenegrin Foreign Minister Srđan Darmanović. The two officials expressed satisfaction over the visit, saying it contributed to additional strengthening of their countries’ very good bilateral relations. Grlić Radman underlined that Croatia supported Montenegro’s EU journey and its progress in accession negotiations, reiterating Croatia’s readiness to continue providing concrete technical support and transferring our experiences and know-how in the accession process. In addition, the minister highlighted the two countries’ excellent cooperation within a series of regional initiatives, the Adriatic Trilateral and NATO, congratulating Montenegro on its third NATO membership anniversary. 

Grlić Radman underscored the importance Croatia attached to the EU enlargement policy. “As the country chairing the EU, Croatia has placed enlargement high on the priority list. Our goal was to reaffirm the enlargement policy and I believe we have succeeded in doing so,” said the minister. 

During his visit to Podgorica, Grlić Radman also met with Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović and Parliament Speaker Ivan Brajović.
