Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Tuesday held a video conference with Iceland’s Foreign Minister Gudlaugur Thór Thórdarson. 
 
Grlić Radman informed his Icelandic counterpart about the progression of the Croatian Council of the EU Presidency, as well as about the European and national measures undertaken to contain the spread of COVID-19.  
 
The two ministers exchanged views on the additional steps Croatia and Iceland were taking to curb the pandemic and exchanged experiences with the gradual relaxation of preventive measures. They underscored mutual support and solidarity in the fight against this global threat. 
 
The two ministers also discussed the Multiannual Financial Framework, trade, fisheries and cooperation within the European Economic Area.   
 
In addition, Grlić Radman and Gudlaugur agreed that Croatia and Iceland would continue to advance relations, notably in the areas of trade, economy and tourism.
