Minister Grlić Radman donates vaccine to North Macedonia’s Health Minister Filipče

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Grlić Radman on Friday handed over to North Macedonia’s Health Minister Venko Filipče a donation of 10,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Grlić Radman on Friday handed over to North Macedonia’s Health Minister Venko Filipče a donation of 10,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

“This donation shows Croatia’s determination and willingness to help their immediate neighbours in a concrete way. However, our engagement does not end here. I am pleased to report that the Croatian Government adopted a decision yesterday to donate additional 20,000 vaccines to North Macedonia,” said the minister, stressing that efficient vaccination was the only way out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moreover, Grlić Radman said Croatia would continue to emphasize the importance of Southeast Europe for the EU and support EU initiatives for delivering COVID-19 vaccines to countries in Europe’s immediate neighbourhood. “Only through joint efforts and solidarity will we create the conditions for a sustainable post-pandemic social and economic recovery,” he said.

Filipče thanked Croatia for the donation, calling it a sign of friendship and solidarity, and added that it would truly help North Macedonia fight the pandemic.
