Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman said in Orašje on Saturday that enabling Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina to enjoy the equal status as the other two constituent peoples is priority of Zagreb.

Foreign Minister Grlić Radman arrived in Orašje in the northern Bosnian region of Bosanska Posavina to attend the ceremony of opening of the 25th edition of the film festival named after prominent actor Ivo Gregurević, who was born in that town in 1952 and died in Zagreb in 2019.

"We care for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We work on projects (of cooperation)," the minister said.

The status of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina is our priority, he said underlining the fact that the Croats are an autochthonous people in that country.

The minister spoke about the plans to finish the border crossing at Svilaj as part of the pan-European Vc transport corridor.

Grlić Radman recalled that earlier this year, Croatia's government set aside 43 million kuna for the assistance during the spread of coronavirus to eight outpatient clinics in Bosnia and Herzegovina in areas with a majority Croat population and to an additional four hospitals  in Mostar, Nova Bila, Jajce and Orašje.
