At the conference, where Croatia was elected as one of the Vice-Chairs, Minister Grlić Radman presided over the plenary session. In his address, he emphasized that Croatia has evolved from an aid recipient into a responsible donor and a promoter of international solidarity.
The Minister highlighted that in 2023, Croatia achieved a record level of development assistance, amounting to nearly €165 million, with further growth according to OECD data. He also underscored Croatia’s active support for the countries of Southeast Europe on their path toward EU membership.
He particularly emphasized the €6 million donation to the GAVI Vaccine Alliance through 2030, through which Croatia is contributing to the vaccination of 500 million children and the saving of millions of lives around the world. He also pointed to Croatia’s strong support for Ukraine through humanitarian aid and demining efforts.
Croatia remains committed to joint efforts to build a fairer, safer, and more sustainable world for all.
