Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received on 1 October 2007 to official visit the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Miroslav Lajčak

Minister Grabar-Kitarović pointed out that Croatia fully supports the democratic processes and reforms aimed at including Bosnia and Herzegovina into the Euro-Atlantic integration, expressing Croatia’s interest for a further development of the intensive relations in the spirit of good neighbourliness, friendship, and joint European co-operation. Croatia is also advocating a speedy solving of the rest of the outstanding issues with BH and is especially interested in enhancing co-operation on infrastructure projects, said Minister Grabar-Kitarović.

The Republic of Croatia supports High Representative Lajčak’s efforts to continue with the democratic processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In that regard, Minister Grabar-Kitarović expressed hope that the constitutional reforms will yield a social system beneficial to all three constitutive nations, pointing out that Croatia supports a constitutional solution that would give Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina an equal status with the other two nations, protect their vital interests, and allowing them to equitably participate in the activities of BH institutions.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović welcomed the election of Sarajevo as the seat of the Regional Co-operation Council (RCC), stating her conviction that RCC will contribute to the further strengthening of the co-operation among the SEECP countries.
