Minister Grabar-Kitarović received to inaugural visit Ukrainian Ambassador Markijan Lubkivsky
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received on 1 March 2007 to inaugural visit Ukrainian Ambassador to Croatia Markijan Lubkivsky, who handed her the copies of his credentials
During the meeting, Minister Grabar-Kitarović described the bilateral relations between Croatia and Ukraine as very good and with no open issues, expressing her conviction that the co-operation between the two countries would continue both on the bilateral and multilateral level. She expressed satisfaction over the realisation of the visit by the representatives of the Ukrainian executive and legislative authority that visited Croatia 25-28 February 2007, learning from Croatia’s experience in EU accession negotiations.
Ambassador Lubkivsky thanked the Minister for the welcome, expressing satisfaction that his next ambassadorial mandate will be in Croatia. He agreed that the relations between Croatia and Ukraine are very good and thanked the Minister for the successful organisation of the visit by three representatives of the Ukrainian executive and legislative authority. Ambassador Lubkivsky suggested that political and consular consultations be held during 2007 on the level of the two ministries, which Minister Grabar-Kitarović supported.
