Minister Grabar-Kitarović received delegation of German Social-Democratic Party’s Club of Deputies

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received on Monday, 22 May 2006, the delegation of the German Social-Democratic Party’s (SPD) Club of Deputies, from Germany’s Bundestag

Members of the delegation included Axel Schafer, representative at Bundestag and SPD spokesman for Euro-political issues, Josip Juratović, representative at Bundestag and rapporteur for Croatia at the EU Committee, and Jutta Tiedtke, councillor for European policy at the SPD Club of Representatives.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović informed the members of the delegation with Croatia’s EU accession process, presenting its negotiating structure and reviewing the course of the analytical overview of the Croatian legislature (screening). She pointed out that Croatia expects the continuation of the EU enlargement based on individual approach and each country’s individual achievements.

Representative Schafer communicated support to Croatia in its EU accession process, adding that SPD wants to strengthen the relations between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Croatia, and stimulate the process of Croatia’s acceding to the EU.
