Minister Grabar-Kitarović opened 4th Seminar for Economic Counsellors at Croatian Embassies

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović opened on 13 July 2007 the 4th Seminar for Economic Counsellors at the Croatian Embassies

The 4th Seminar for Economic Counsellors, the new cycle of additional vocational training, is aimed at familiarising economic advisors with the current programs and projects in the field of promoting export and investment, and providing them with practical guidelines for their implementation, said Minister Grabar-Kitarović in her opening speech., adding that one of seminar’s basic goals is to stimulate open dialogue and the exchange of opinions and experience, which will in turn create a platform for an even more dynamic and higher quality development of the economic diplomacy system.

The participants in the seminar, economic advisors at the Croatian embassies to Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Libya, Egypt, and Russia – markets of increased business interest for the Croatian exporters – were presented three thematic units concerning the support for the Croatian exporters and the attracting of foreign investment: the MFAEI web-page entitled The Croatian Economic Diplomacy, the Croatian export offensive, and the new projects of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency.

Opening speeches were also held by Economic Advisor to the Croatian President Dubravko Radošević, State Secretary for Organisation, Development, and Management Željko Kuprešak, and Assistant Minister for International Economic Co-operation Andrea Gustović-Ercegovac.
