Minister Grabar-Kitarović met with Permanent US Representative to UN John Bolton

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović met yesterday, 20 September 2005 in New York, with Permanent US Representative to the United Nations John Bolton

Minister Grabar-Kitarović and Ambassador Bolton talked about the possible forms of co-operation and Ambassador Bolton talked about the possible forms of co-operation between Croatia and the US within the United Nations, as well as its reform.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović informed Ambassador Bolton about Croatia’s efforts on its road to the Euro-Atlantic integration and the preparations for the negotiations with the EU, asking him to support a quicker invitation for Croatia to join NATO.

Ambassador Bolton promised his support, saying that Croatia has come a long way in conducting the reforms for joining the North Atlantic Alliance.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović informed Ambassador Bolton of Croatia’s contribution to the anti-terrorist coalition and the activities within the PSI.

At the end of the meeting, the two concluded that the partnership between Croatia and the US is stable and that co-operation will continue on the UN missions’ level.
