Minister Grabar-Kitarović met with Korean Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Moo-Hyun Kang

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović met on 21 September 2007 with the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea, Moo-Hyun Kang

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the development of the relations between the two friendly countries, which are with no outstanding issues, as well as their advancement and strengthening in all fields of joint interest.

The two ministers also discussed the state of affairs in the region, with Minister Grabar-Kitarović informing Minister Kang about Croatia’s foreign policy goals – full EU and NATO membership. She pointed out that Croatia will remain active in the South Eastern Europe, offering assistance to the neighbouring counties on their path towards the Euro-Atlantic integration.

Minister Kang was also received by State Secretary for Organisation, Development and Management Željko Kuprešak. As regards the two countries’ economic co-operation, Minister Kang and State Secretary Kuprešak agreed that one must find suitable ways for its increasing, namely in the field of shipbuilding, science, technology, culture, and tourism.

On this occasion, Minister Kang asked of the Croatian side to support the 2012 EXPO in Yeosu, the Republic of Korea.
