Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, in the capacity of SEECP Chair-in-Office, chaired the Meeting of SEECP Foreign Ministers held on 9 and 10 May in Zagreb

The foreign ministers discussed the situation in the region, SEE countries’ progress on the road towards the Euro-Atlantic integration, further strengthening of SEECP and the concrete forms of solidifying the regional ownership over the co-operation in South Eastern Europe.

The ministers adopted the decisions to appoint the Regional Co-operation Council’s Secretary General and the location of the Secretariat. They also exchanged opinions on the documents to be adopted at the Summit of SEECP Heads of State and Government, to be held on 11 May 2007.

The Republic of Croatia will preside over SEECP until 11 May 2007, when at the Zagreb Summit the presidency will be assumed by the Republic of Bulgaria.

The Meeting of Foreign Ministers was preceded by the Meeting of the Committee of SEECP Political Directors, held on 8 and 9 May, and the Meeting of the Stability Pact’s Regional table, held on 10 May 2007.
