Minister Grabar-Kitarović during official visit to Andorra met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Culture and Co-operation Juli Minoves

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović is paying an official visit to the Principality of Andorra and the Kingdom of Spain, 9 to 11 June 2006

During the visit, Minister Grabar-Kitarović met on Sunday 11 June 2006 with the Andorran Minister of Foreign Affairs, Culture and Co-operation, Juli Minoves, and discussed the relations with the EU and the situation in the South East Europe.

The two foreign ministers pointed out that Croatia and Andorra are two friendly countries that have good political relations with no outstanding issues.

The two also talked about improving the economic co-operation between Croatia and Andorra, with Minister Minoves stating Andorra’s interest in investing in Croatian tourism.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović invited Minister Minoves to officially visit Croatia, with the two agreeing Croatia and Andorra should exchange official visits more often and announcing the meeting between the two countries’ businessmen.

On Saturday, 10 June 2006, Minister Grabar-Kitarović handed in Barcelona the Medal of the Order of Danica Hrvatska with the Image of Ruđer Bošković to distinguished Catalonian scientist Isabela Roda de Llanza, who has for years been successfully co-operating with the archaeological museums in Split and Pula, and is actively promoting the discoveries of antic sites in Croatia.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović also held a working dinner on Saturday with Chairman of the Catalonian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Josep Duran i Lleida, with whom she discussed European integration.
