Minister Grabar-Kitarović and State Secretary Biščević received US Ambassador Frank

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and State Secretary Hido Biščević received today, 3 March 2005, US Ambassador to Croatia Ralph Frank

State Secretary Biščević emphasised Croatia’s readiness to continue with the active contribution to war on international terrorism by taking part in all important multilateral instruments, such as the Proliferation Security Initiative.

Croatia’s position in the recent elections in Iraq as an important step towards the stabilisation and democratisation of the country was reiterated, as was Croatia’s support to the efforts by the Iraqi authorities and the international community to ensure peace and normal life in Iraq. The American side in familiar with the initiative of sending Croatian police instructors to the international training center in Jordan for the purposes of training the Iraqi police officers, as well as the other activities which Croatia is trying to support the peace process with.

Ambassador Frank expressed his satisfaction with the dynamics of the relations development between the two countries and said that the United States fully supports Croatia’s joining the EU and NATO.
