Minister Grabar-Kitarović addressed OSCE Permanent Council
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović addressed 15th November 2005 in Vienna the Permanent Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)
In her speech, Minister Grabar-Kitarović pointed out that Croatia, within OSCE mechanism and activities, is actively co-operating with the countries in the region in numerous areas of common interest (eg. combating human trafficking, border management and security, subregional arms control). Minister Grabar-Kitarović said that Croatia, as a leader country, will continue with is active engagement policy in SEE and promote the further strengthening of stability in the region, that for the most part successfully transformed from a zone of conflict into a zone of co-operation.
During her one-day stay in Vienna, Minister Grabar-Kitarović met with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mohamed ElBaradei, and congratulated him on winning the 2005 Nobel Prize for peace, expressing Croatia’s support to future Agency’s activities. The meeting also reviewed the possibilities of further co-operation between Croatia and IAEA.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Grabar-Kitarović invited Director General Mohamed ElBaradei to visit Croatia.
