The collocutors expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations without any outstanding issues, which are characterised by regular meetings of the highest-ranking officials. Minister Jandroković informed his guest about the current developments related to Croatia’s accession negotiations. He pointed out that in the past several months, despite the blockade of negotiations, efforts had been intensified so as to fulfil all closing benchmarks. He especially thanked Slovakian officials for political cooperation as well as their great and unconditional support to the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union. They jointly stressed the importance of integration of Southeast Europe in the European Union, especially in the light of the Slovakian interest in this matter, as a follow-up to the previous office held in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the current Slovakian Minister of Foreign Affairs Miroslav Lajčak.

Minister Jandroković expressed satisfaction with the continuity of bilateral cooperation between the Parliaments, he welcomed intensification of cooperation in the economy, especially in the field of energy, and he stressed with great pleasure that despite the international economic crisis Croatia remained the main tourist destination of the Slovakian tourists.
