Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković received 2 April 2008 on inaugural visit the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Croatia, Eman Mohamed Zaki Moharram
It was pointed out that there are no outstanding issues between Croatia and Egypt, and that the good and intensifying relations should be used to strengthen the economic co-operation as well.
The Egyptian Ambassador congratulated Croatia on its election as a non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, reiterating Egypt’s support for Croatia’s EU membership aspirations.
Minister Jandroković expressed a wish for Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ali Aboul Gheit to visit Zagreb, which the Egyptian Ambassador confirmed as being planned.
