The collocutors expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of the Croatian-Israeli bilateral relations, which have generated mutual trust as the two countries’ most important political capital. Minister Jandroković recalled his visit to Israel in May this year.

He informed the Knesset delegation about the current status of Croatia’s EU negotiations, which have entered their final phase.

The Committee Chairman Tzahi Hanegbi thanked Croatia for the participation of its peacekeeping forces in the UNDOF mission on the Golan Heights, contributing to the peace and stability in the Near East.

The collocutors agreed that the two countries held vast unused economic potential, especially in regard to the transfer of Israel’s knowledge in agriculture, water management and high technology. In that context, they mentioned the possibility of an official visit by the Israeli economic delegation in early 2011.

The Israeli delegation familiarized the Croatian side with the current political situation in the region, notably the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
