Minister Gordan Jandroković participates in event marking UN Public Service Day
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković participated 23 June 2008 via video link in an event marking the UN Public Service Day and represented Europe at a ceremony at which awards were presented to the best public servants from around the world
The ceremony was held at the UN headquarters in New York, with representatives from different continents joining in via video link.
Minister Jandroković pointed in his address to the importance of the UN award in the promotion of the efficiency of state administration and cited measures that are being taken by the Croatian government to make public administration a service to Croatian citizens. Minister Jandroković also mentioned the 2008-2011 Strategy for the Reform of Public Administration and its contribution to reducing corruption.
