Minister Jandroković confirmed that the dialogue with Slovenia was unfolding in a friendly and European spirit, saying he was convinced that all of the outstanding issues would be resolved to the mutual satisfaction. He also pointed out that the Mixed Croatian-Slovenian Commission for Outstanding Issues would meet the following week. After the meeting ended, Minister Jandroković met with his Slovenian counterpart, Foreign Minister Samuel Žbogar.

In his presentation, Minister Jandroković said the Croatian Government supported the neighbouring countries, pointing out that the European perspective is the best way to stabilize the region of South Eastern Europe.

He communicated the Croatian Government’s belief in a positive solution to the outstanding issues between Serbia and Kosovo and welcomed the resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly.

In regard to the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minister Jandroković expressed hope that the coming elections would bring about a positive outcome, so that constitutional reforms could get underway and Bosnia and Herzegovina could become a functional, stable and unified country of three equal nations. As an additional contribution to the stabilization of the region, Minister Jandroković mentiond the seeking of a compromise solution to the Macedonia-Greece name dispute, and expressed his support for the process.

Minister Jandroković also talked about Croatia’s relations with its strategic partners in the world, saying that the EU would benefit from the relations Croatia nourished with the extra-European countries. He informed his European colleagues about this week’s visit to Korea and Japan, and outlined the state of Croatia’s bilateral relations with China and the countries of South America.
