Minister Gordan Jandroković met with High Representative and EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajčak

The meeting discussed the development of relations between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina

The meeting discussed the development of relations between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The two collocutors also exchanged opinions about the current political situation in BH, with High Representative Lajčak informing Minister Jandroković about the progress BH made in approaching the EU and the problems it faces along the way.

Expressing satisfaction with the fact that BH had signed the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, Minister Jandroković said that only the Euro-Atlantic integration framework guarantees progress and stability, which are the main prerequisites for a permanent constitution of BH and a self-sustainable and functional state. In that regard, he expressed full support for the reform processes in the country, aimed at meeting the goals of joining the Euro-Atlantic structures. He also pointed out that Croatia supports the efforts of the international community and the Office of the High Representative to ensure a stable and self-sustaining BH.

Minister Jandroković noted in particular that Croatia is advocating constitutional solutions that would ensure the Croats, as one of the constitutive nations, an equal status, efficient protection of vital national interests, and an equal participation in the BH authorities.
