Minister Jandroković thanked his host for the support for Croatia’s accession to the EU and NATO, pointing out the European Commission’s Progress Report, in which Croatia for the first time got a timeframe for the completion of the negotiations

Minister Jandroković thanked his host for the support for Croatia’s accession to the EU and NATO, pointing out the European Commission’s Progress Report, in which Croatia for the first time got a timeframe for the completion of the negotiations. He acceded there is still a lot of work to be done, but expressed his conviction that Croatia will carry out all of the planned reforms on time.

Minister Jandroković asked for the Protocol on Croatia’s NATO Accession to be ratified before NATO’s 60th anniversary in April next year.

Expressing the Czech Republic’s strong support for Croatia’s EU and NATO membership, Chairman Vlček said he expects the Czech Parliament to ratify the Protocol soon. He also pointed out that Croatia’s EU negotiations will be one of the Czech Presidency’s priorities.

With both sides agreeing on the need to strengthen the parliamentary cooperation, Chairman Vlček proposed a cooperation between the parliamentary constitutional committees. The meeting also saw the exchange of opinions on the economic cooperation, energy, and state of affairs in Europe’s south east.
