Minister Jandroković expressed gratitude for Finland’s continuous assistance during Croatia’s EU accession process

Minister Jandroković expressed gratitude for Finland’s continuous assistance during Croatia’s EU accession process, saying he was convinced that the negotiations would be closed early the following year and the Treaty of Accession signed during Hungary’s EU presidency in the first half of 2011.

In regard to the complexity of the work ahead, he pointed out the determination of Croatian institutions to carry on with the reforms, especially in judiciary and public administration, as well as in combating all forms of corruption.

Minister Jandroković informed Minister Thors about the implementation of the Communication Strategy and the preparations for the referendum on the EU membership. Parallel to closing of the last remaining open chapters, Croatia plans to conduct a comprehensive campaign aimed at informing the citizens about the advantages of the EU membership, said Minister Jandroković.

The collocutors agreed that the success of Croatia’s EU talks would serve as a powerful incentive for all of the countries of South Eastern Europe on the road to European integration.
