Minister Gordan Jandroković hosted AII Ministerial Conference
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković hosted the Ministerial Conference of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative (AII), held 27 May 2008 in Zagreb
During its one-year AII presidency, Croatia has proposed concretizing co-operation in the four main areas: economy, tourism, energy and transport, and environmental protection. Furthermore, by implementing interactive round tables, Croatia has provided additional incentive to the activities dynamic in various areas of interest to all of the AII members.
The successfulness of its presidency Croatia has topped off by passing the Rulebook on the Functioning of AII Secretariat and concretizing the areas of co-operation, with small- and middle-sized entrepreneurship, transport linkage, environmental protection and fire protection comprising the main framework. Other tasks completed during Croatia’s presidency include the inauguration of the first Secretary General Alessandro Grafini, seated in Ancona, and harmonising the Round Table Rulebook.
The Zagreb Ministerial Conference concluded Croatia’s AII presidency. Presiding over the Initiative for the next two years will be Greece.
