MFEA and Croatia Airlines organize Zagreb-Tianjin repatriation flights

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs coordinated with Croatia Airlines commercial repatriation flights between Zagreb and Tianjin, China. 

On the Friday’s flight from Zagreb to Tianjin, Croatia Airlines’ Airbus A320 transported back a group of 120 young athletes from the University of Beijing, who had been visiting Croatia. It was the longest flight in the airline’s history (nearly 8000 kilometers), with a stopover in Astana, Kazakhstan, followed by the airline’s first landing in China. 

On Saturday, a return flight from Tianjin to Zagreb, also stopping over in Astana, brought back Croatian and EU citizens.  

This challenging project amid the epidemiological crisis has been carefully planned and successfully executed with support from the Croatian Embassy to China, which is yet another confirmation of the Croatian diplomacy’s continuous and successful efforts to repatriate Croatian and other citizens.
