The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia organised yesterday, through the Croatian Embassy in Athens, and in co-operation with the Italian and French embassies in Georgia and the European Commission’s delegation, the evacuation of the four Croatian citizens located in Georgia.

At the Ministry’s intervention, visas were issued promptly, enabling the Croatian citizens to enter Armenia, from which they have flown today to Rome. The Ministry has then contacted them through the Croatian Embassy in Italy and informed their families.

The three Croatian citizens who had been working in Georgia for an Italian company have been transported to the city of Treviso, pending new job assignments, while the remaining female citizen will be transported as personally requested.
