MFAEI lodged complaint against EC Deputy Spokesperson Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen for comments on Croatian President’s statements
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration lodged complaint against European Commission’s Deputy Spokesperson Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen for her recent comments on the statements by Croatian President Stjepan Mesić
Apart from pointing out that it is uncustomary for a spokesperson’s office to comment on statements by a country’s president, the complaint also stresses the one-sided and unacceptable portrayal of the statement by the Croatian President. Such an act by the EC Deputy Spokesperson has only further burdened an already sensitive issue, reads the Ministry’s complaint.
The Ministry put forth in its complaint the full truth about the views expressed, stating that the Croatian President had to react and respond to the unacceptable statements about certain aspects of the Croatian-Italian relations.
