MFAEI expresses deep concern over recent armed conflicts and situation worsening in Georgia’s South Ossetia and Abkhazia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia would like to express deep concern over the recent armed conflicts and situation worsening in Georgia’s regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

The Republic of Croatia joins the EU statement on this issue, and calls on all sides to refrain from further conflicts and act towards easing the tension, with the aim of avoiding a further escalation.

The Republic of Croatia invites all sides involved to continue with the negotiations, which are the only way to find a lasting solution to the crisis.
