In addition to its regular activities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia attentively follows the developments related to the Iraqi crisis. In order to be able to react promptly to a crisis escalation and its consequences, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established a Provisional Working Group which is to follow developments related to Iraq.

Among other, the task of this Working Group is to follow the situation, elaborate analysis and inform on the events and activities related to the development of the crisis and possible military intervention. Further on, it is to elaborate draft guidelines, instructions and press releases for activities of the Republic of Croatia on both international and domestic scene.

An important reason for establishing this Working Group is to offer relevant, timely and comprehensive information to citizens on the situation in this part of the world, so that they might adjust their activities to the developments. Such information shall be published on a separate web page at the Internet (www.mvp.hr).
