Following the U.S. presentation of additional evidence of Iraq's possession of weapons of mass destruction, the Republic of Croatia supports the efforts of the international community to disarm Iraq.

The U.S. presentation supplemented field reports of UN weapons inspectors in the debate within the UN Security Council, and it was also in line with the Joint Statement of the EU Council of Ministers of January 27, 2003.

The Republic of Croatia has joined the Statement of the Vilnius Group affirming strong support for the efforts of the United States of America and the international community to disarm Iraq and enforce unconditional compliance with UN resolution 1441 requiring full cooperation with the UN weapons inspectors.

The Republic of Croatia expresses its strong concern over proliferation of weapons of mass destruction on any side as the greatest threat to international security.
