MFA Picula expressed his condolences to Spain's MFA, Mrs Ana Palacio Vallelersundi for the death of Spanish citizens in Baghdad.

On 1 December 2003, Mr. Tonino Picula, the Croatian Foreign Minister, conveyed his sympathy to Ms. Ana Palacio Vallelersundi, the Spain's Foreign Minister, on the occasion of the killing of Spanish citizens in the guerrilla attack south from Baghdad on 28 November 2003.

I was deeply shocked to learn of the tragic killing of seven Spanish citizens near Hilla in Iraq and I would like to express my sincere condolences on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Croatia, Minister Picula wrote.
