Meeting with Syrian national coalition delegation

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Vesna Pusić 26 November 2012 received representatives of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, while the next day the delegation met with Deputy Minister Joško Klisović.

Minister Pusić said Croatia welcomed the forming of the coalition and that it considered it a representative of legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people. She said she wanted Croatia to actively help find a solution to the crisis in Syria.

The talks confirmed that Croatia would continue to offer humanitarian aid to Syria and take part in the housing of the refugees. Croatia is willing to contribute to the rebuilding of the country, not just in terms of physical reconstruction but in building of state institutions as well, in accordance with the values from the UN Charter.
