State Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bakota and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament Podgoreanu expressed their satisfaction with the co-operation and the overall Croatian-Romanian relations, in which these two countries are partners. Chairman Podgoreanu said that Romania is willing to support Croatia on its way to the EU and North-Atlantic Alliance, and stressed the need for an exchange of experiences. State Secretary Bakota said that economic relations need to be strengthened, especially in the field of energetics, transport and infrastructures. it is also necessary to sign a treaty on the protection of the Croatian minority in Romania and the Romanian minority in Croatia, as well as the treaty on social security, and open a Croatian instructorship in Temesvár and a Romanian instructorship in Pula, Bakota and Podgoreanu agreed.
