Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday received the inaugural visit from the Head of the UNHCR Representation to Croatia, Anna Rich.

Grlić Radman congratulated Rich on her appointment and wished her a successful term of office, underscoring the long-standing excellent cooperation between Croatia and the UNHCR. “Our experiences during and after the Homeland War, as well as good practice during the present migrant crisis, show that Croatia is always willing to offer protection and assistance to those in need,” said the minister. As a recent example of this successful cooperation, he highlighted the Donation Agreement, as part of which the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs supports the UNHCR’s educational efforts in Lebanon.

Rich thanked Grlić Radman for the welcome, underlining belief in the continuation of successful cooperation between Croatia and the UNHCR.
