Chairman of the Polish-Croatian Chamber of Industry and Commerce Pawel Wlodarczyk said this initiative came at the right time and could activate economic potential on both sides, pointing out Poland’s booming economy and Croatia’s position on the threshold of the EU.

Croatian Ambassador to Poland Ivan Del Vechio also expressed conviction that the founding of the Chamber would present an excellent incentive to that end and thanked the relevant state bodies for the support, especially the companies which have recognized the importance and found their interest in the establishing of the Chamber. He reiterated that the strengthening of the economic relations between Croatia and Poland is the priority of the activities of the Croatian Embassy in Warsaw, which is owing to its knowledge of the market and contacts is willing to assist the interest business subjects from Croatia in the realizations of their business plans in Poland, as well as the Polish investors in Croatia.

The basic guidelines for economic development and the possibilities of investing in Croatia were presented by Trades and Crafts Director at the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship Darko Horvat and Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency Sani Ljubunčić, while Poland’s potentials were presented by European Affairs Director at the Polish Ministry of Economy Marek Korowajczyk and International Cooperation Director at the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways Ziemowit Cyndrowski.

On behalf of the Sejm, MP Tomasz Glogowski, the Polish-Croatian Friendship Group chairman, also delivered a speech and supported the initiative.
