Government adopts decision on Janjevo children attending Summer School of Croatian Language and Culture

At its 59th session on Friday, the Croatian Government adopted a decision on organizing the attendance of children from Janjevo, Kosovo in the Summer School of Croatian Language and Culture

At its 59th session on Friday, the Croatian Government adopted a decision on organizing the attendance of children from Janjevo, Kosovo in the Summer School of Croatian Language and Culture. Participating in the session on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs was State Secretary for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Zdenko Lucić.

The project aims to support the Croat community in Janjevo and addresses the preservation of Croatian culture, language and identity in that locale. The Summer School of Croatian Language and Culture has been continuously organized by the Croatian Heritage Foundation since 1993. To date, more than 1500 children from over 30 countries have attended it.

This year’s Summer School will be held 19-30 July 2021 in Novi Vinodolski and will include up to 50 children. The programme entails Croatian language workshops, learning about the Croatian history and cultural heritage, as well as outdoor activities.
