Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusić 25 July 2012 received on inaugural visit Bulgarian Ambassador to Croatia Tanya Dimitrova

Congratulating Croatia on closing the negotiations and signing the Accession Treaty, Dimitrova recalled that Bulgaria had been among the first to ratify it, which is yet another testament to the excellent bilateral relations and continuous support Bulgaria has been extending Croatia along its path of European integration.

The Bulgarian ambassador inquired about the course of the ratification process in other EU member countries and the Croatian minister’s view on the situation in the region.

Pusić expressed satisfaction with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov’s attending this year’s Croatia Summit in Dubrovnik, pointing out that “Croatia and Bulgaria have a shared interest, and that is the stability of this region and its European perspective”.

Talking about the bilateral relations, the two officials pointed out the excellent cooperation on all levels, underlining the need to advance the economic cooperation.
