FM Pejčinović Burić pays official visit to Albania

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 15 March 2018 was on an official visit to the Republic of Albania.

In Tirana, Pejčinović Burić met with Albania’s Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati, Parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruci and Prime Minister Edi Rama, with whom she discussed the two countries’ very good bilateral relations and the prospects of further strengthening the cooperation, notably in the area of economy.

The ministers agreed on the basic elements of the Declaration of Strategic Partnership between Croatia and Albania, which should be finalized soon.  

They also exchanged opinions about European topics and the current situation in Southeast Europe, with Pejčinović Burić underlining Croatia’s support for Albania’s European path.

The Croatian foreign minister signed with Resident UNDP Representative to Albania Brian Williams agreement for the Adriatic Sea and Water Pollution Risk Prevention Project in Albania.
