Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Marija Pejčinović Burić 20 June 2018 received US Assistant Secretary of State Wess Mitchell. In short talks, the two officials underlined the excellent and allied relations, as well as the continuation of cooperation in priority areas of mutual interest. Mitchell then met with State Secretary Andreja Metelko-Zgombić. Apart from the exchange of views on topics such as economic and defence cooperation as well as visa regime reciprocity, the meeting focused on the US-Croatia cooperation in Southeast Europe as well as global and energy security.
