During her visit to Luxembourg, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Marija Pejčinović Burić met with the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Alexander Stubb.

Stubb outlined the EIB’s views on the European Commission’s proposal on the new 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework, as well as the role of the EIB and national banks in utilizing its financial instruments.

Pejčinović Burić said that in the current financial framework Croatia focused on fully utilizing the benefits of traditional policies such as the Cohesion Policy and Common Agricultural Policy. She was hopeful that the following financial framework would simplify the use of financial instruments, which should result in their better utilization by all member states. For Croatia in that context it is very important to ensure support for small and medium-sized entrepreneurships.
